This professionally-made video is an excellent visual aid for introducing Council to school administrators, teachers, counselors, parents, and older students. It provides an overview of the Palms Middle School Council Project, established in 1993 (that now involves some 1300 students every week in Council circles) and the associated three-day retreats for children at the Center for Living Council in California.

Through brief images of students in Council and selections from interviews with prominent Los Angeles Unified School District Leaders; Palms teachers, administrators and Council facilitators: Ojai Foundation staff; Council Program leaders; the Program's founder; and - most importantly - several Palms students, viewers get a good sense of what Council is about, how it works, and how it can create and support a sense of community in a school.

The video is best used as part of a presentation by an experienced Council trainer or facilitator rather than as a stand-alone introduction although it has proven useful and often inspiring to viewers all on its own.
