SERVICES

SPECIALIZED TRAININGS
Council trainers travel to schools, centers and business organizations to provide specialized trainings and support for designing and maintaining council-based programs.

(See Arranging a program at your location)

Two hour programs for administrators and one-day introductions for new practitioners interested in beginning a council program in their community, business organization or school are available.

COACHING
Experienced trainers and consultants are available to provide technical and practical assistance in such areas as defining and refining appropriate content for council trainings, marketing and fundraising strategies, formulating curricula for council trainings, creating promotional materials, setting up systems for program administration, and adapting council programs to a specific clientele.

CONSULTATIONS
Staff are available to assist families and couples who want to initiate or refine council practice, as part of a personal retreat at The Ojai Foundation or at a location of their choosing.

WEB PAGE
As part of this web site we are building an e-mail based network that will provide database directories of practitioners, opportunities to share council methodology, a way for council leaders to connect with groups seeking facilitators, and reviews of new materials and training opportunities.

TRAINING MATERIALS
Books and training materials are available, as well as curriculum guides for educators facilitating council in schools. A list of these materials and a list of current trainings are available through the CCT office and under Resources on this web site.

FELLOWSHIPS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
We offer a limited number of individual scholarships for weekend trainings.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The Ojai Foundation supports practitioners (by providing course descriptions and related material) who want to obtain continuing education credit for trainings and internships. We do not formally provide certification but, rather, support each person in finding his or her unique place in the practice of council. We encourage practitioners to always see themselves as students as well as facilitators and to attend the yearly gathering of council leaders if they are interested in becoming council trainers.
