Living the Way of Council (Council 3):
(Additional Council Trainings take place at other locations throughout the year; check back for updated listings of trainings open to the public at a variety of locations.)
The Center for Council Practice (CCP) was established in 1999 to provide ongoing trainings and programs, in-service and retreat-based internships, and support for schools, businesses and communities implementing Council in the world. CCP received a major revitalization in 2010 as a result of a 5-year evaluation of the needs and challenges facing those who are carrying council in the world.
The CCP network is the web that weaves the myriad strands of council in the world. It is charged with bearing witness, inviting connection, celebrating and empowering the network of trainers and facilitators and to finding ways to support and nourish all who are carrying the work of council into the world. CCP is a professional association that maintains the highest standards of integrity and commitment to steward the work.
The mission of the Center for Council Practice is to promote and sustain council practice worldwide. CCP is committed to offering high quality trainings, programs, consultations, and council-based events led by credentialed trainers who are skilled in the art of council facilitation and endeavor to live the Way of Council in their daily lives. These trainers are actively involved through affiliation with the Circle of Council Trainers and our growing international network and thus are committed to continually advancing their skills to meet the increasing call for Council in the world.
