Intro to Council in Santa Barbara: "Coming Back to Life"

Event Date: May 25 2013 - 9:00am - 9:00pm
(Saturday + Sunday)
Join Alexis Slutzky & Laura Whitney
for an inspring and rejuvenating introduction to Council at The Center for Spiritual Renewal, Casa de Maria, in Santa Barbara.

~~~~~
Council is a process of cultivating empathic listening and heartfelt communication. Practiced around the world in communities, organizations and educational settings, council helps to nurture authentic communication and non-judgmental listening. Council is a practice of sharing the wisdom of one’s own experience and helps create mutual understanding, build community and support the unfolding of a collective vision.
This workshop is a dynamic opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Casa de Maria retreat center while experiencing the age-old practice of Council and exploring its modern application as a platform for genuine engagement and connection in families, communities, businesses, schools, and relationships. The weekend offers an introduction to and grounding in the practice of Council and includes deep ecology practices to reawaken our relationship with the natural world.
