Samu refers to physical work that is done with mindfulness as a simple, practical and spiritual practice. Samu is a way to bring mindfulness into everyday life as well as being productive and getting work done.
Join us for a morning of Samu at the Land Sanctuary. This is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and get your hands dirty in the company of family, friends and community. Our intentions are to collectively engage in mindful work, develop team building, and be in service and stewardship to this amazing place.
Please arrive by 8:45AM so that we can begin on time. Bring your friends and family. All ages are welcome! We will circle up at 9:00AM (sharp!) for an orientation and introductions. Projects will depend on who shows up, the weather and current needs of the Land. After several hours of Samu we will close our practice with a potluck lunch.
What to bring: Please wear rugged "work clothes" that you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy, closed toe shoes. Bring a sunhat, water bottle and snacks/lunch to share for our potluck.
R.S.V.P. to our Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com or call 805-646-8343 Ext. 136 for more information.
We look forward to seeing you and working together!
