Day of Service

Unpublished

Sat, 10/22/2016 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Join us for a day of Samu (mindful service) with our newest groundskeeper, Cooper Babcock, as well as our board of directors and staff.

Samu refers to physical work that is done with mindfulness as a simple, practical and spiritual practice. Samu is a way to bring mindfulness into everyday life as well as being productive and getting work done.

This is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and get your hands dirty in the company of family, friends and community. Our intentions are to collectively engage in mindful work, develop team building, and be in service and stewardship to this amazing place.

What to bring:

  • Rugged "work clothes" that you don't mind getting dirty

  • Sturdy closed-toed shoes

  • Sunhat

  • Water bottle

  • Snacks/lunch for afterwards (optional)

Please R.S.V.P. to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@ojaifoundation.org or call 805-646-8343 ext. 136 for more information.
