Come explore Council and yoga practice in the integration of mind, body, spirit, soul, and community.
As the practices of Yoga and Council spread to organizations, schools, prisons, and communities around the world, increasingly diverse practitioners are realizing the opportunity to feel and embody an innate connection to each other, to inner truth, and to the natural world.
Both forms are rooted in the practice of deep and heartfelt listening, and most often engender increased capacities for compassion, wisdom, and self-love.
In this weekend workshop, facilitated by two Ojai Foundation Council Trainers, yoga teachers, and devoted Ashtangis, we will explore the inner-landscapes and outer forms of Yoga practice in the living traditions of T. Krishnamacharya and Sri K. Patthabi Jois.
Time off the mat will be spent enjoying the serene beauty of The Ojai Foundation Land Sanctuary in Ojai's Upper Valley, and in Council circles sharing the heartsongs and trail-stories from our Paths of Practice.
All levels of yoga practitioner are welcome (there will be dynamic vinyasa sessions and restorative practices, meditation, and breath-work), and veteran council carriers will share the circle with those new to the practice and curious about how to foster the form for personal and social transformation.
