at The Ojai Valley Woman's Club, 441 E. Ojai Ave.

Celebrating the beauty and power of water and recognizing that water is common ground, worldwide. Donations will be gratefully accepted.

In September 2015, thirty-five walkers, both local and global, began this extraordinary journey. We are walking for three weeks each year, in three phases, until we reach Los Angeles in 2017--to raise awareness of water issues, to give time to that which literally connects and supports all of life, to contribute to restoring all of our relations, and for the empowerment of communities.

The pilgrimage began high in the Eastern Sierra region of California, and along the Owens Valley--ultimately taking walkers from source to end use. The well-known "water war" there, depicted in the movie China Town, over the privatization of water, is occurring now in many places worldwide.

WALKING WATER invites us all to know our watersheds more intimately and serves as an inspiration for parallel walks and events everywhere. A "sister" pilgrimage along our Ventura River watershed is in planning.

Please come and join us for the evening and perhaps even for some part of the walk! Learn more at www.walking-water.org.
